A historical introduction to the crystal ball
- Aug 20, 2018 -

The prehistoric tribes of Celtic, known to have existed in Britain in the 2000, were ruled by religious personnel called Druids, who were known to use the crystal ball for divination in the early days.

Interestingly, the Druid religion resembles the early British Stonehenge religion, so they may be the first people to use crystals as divination. Later, during the Middle Ages (A.D. 500 – 1500) in Central Europe, seers, wizards, Psychics, Romans, fortune-teller and divination also used other types of crystals to "see" the past, present or future. Because of its transparency, beryllium aluminum silicate (beryl), known as natural gems, is often used for divination. The Scottish Highland residents call it "the Power of the stone". Although the early crystal balls were made of Beryl, they were replaced by colorless crystals, a more transparent rock.
